Congratulations to David and Alison

First Day

Both groups did the Tassa Ouirgane walk on their first day.

This is the 21st December group.

At the half-way point there was lunch in the orchard, followed by mint tea

Also some quick trading by Mohammed

This is Tassa Ouirgane village

The Kik Plateau

Mubarak escorted the first group

He is Mohammed's brother

Mohammed brought his 4-year old son on the second visit.

He completed the whole route unaided, apart from refuelling on a bottle of fizzy drink!

Isgane

The village nestles in a hollow of the Kik Plateau.

Here is the village well.

... and here is a villager ploughing with a donkey.

(Taken by permission)

The plateau can be a bleak place.

In the background, Mt. Toubkal is just visible.

Tea, served in the village of Tadert

21 December group

This is the nearest I got to taking a group photo.

Marrakech

The town is dominated by the minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque
