The Ourika Valley

The hotel is low in the valley

This meant the use of a "Berber Taxi" to get us to our walks

The start of our walk up past Agart

Looking down on our start near the concrete bridge

The lower path
with a first sighting of Agart

The valley road below us...

...and our path...

...and some of our party

The prosperous village of Agart
surrounded by cultivated terraces
and with a backdrop of mountains

Our shady lunch spot above the village...

...with a cool stream

Our return path

Moving on to a high open area

Strange green rock

(brown below its weathered surface)

Our return to the valley road

Did someone say, the previous day, I wouldn't go over one of those!

The Cascades

A very popular route, but one needing some ignominious assistance from locals

A cafe high in the valley displays its "Berber Fridge"

Our return route looks down on parties ascending

The final stages of descent
